Generate insights — your way

Load a call and we pull out the insights.

Pick the output types you want — pain points, opportunities, quotes, feature requests — and describe what to look for. Every call then surfaces exactly those, in your words.

Intervool generating insights — recommended takeaways and pain points to promote, with a box to refine the results with AI
Chat with your research

Ask Copilot anything about your research.

Ask anything about the interviews, themes, and people you’ve captured. Copilot answers from your own research — with sources.

  • What are the top pain points emerging across my calls?
  • What themes are coming up most, and how do they relate?
  • Summarize what I know about a specific persona or segment.
  • Where are the biggest gaps in my research so far?

Themes → roadmap

From scattered insights to a roadmap you can defend.

Insights roll up into evidence-linked themes, themes become feature ideas, and every bet stays one click from the customer quote behind it.

Step 01Pull out the insights

Every insight from every call, in one place.

Pain points, opportunities, quotes, and feature requests are pulled from each conversation into one place you can scan, filter, and sort — every row linked back to the moment it came from.

Intervool insights — pain points, opportunities, quotes, and feature requests pulled from every call into one place, each linked back to the person, company, and moment it came from
Step 02Cluster into themes

See what repeats across conversations.

Insights roll up into evidence-linked themes you can scan at a glance. AI proposes groupings; you rename, merge, or reassign.

Intervool theme — Scattered Research Repository, grouping takeaways and a customer quote about research getting lost across tools
Intervool theme — Democratizing Research, grouping a pain point and an opportunity about a single searchable source of truth
Intervool theme — Insights Don't Reach Decisions, grouping a pain point, opportunity, and workflow about connecting research to roadmap bets
Step 03Track the roadmap

Build a roadmap that mirrors how you plan.

Lay ideas out in columns by MoSCoW priority, status, or impact vs effort — or any single-select attribute you’ve created, like Quarter or Team.

Intervool feature roadmap board — ideas organized across To Do, In Progress, Done, and Wait columns, grouped by MoSCoW, status, and impact vs effort
Personas & segments

Know exactly who you’re building for.

Group the people you talk to into personas built from real signals. Every theme and insight can then be read through the lens of who it came from — so “the customer” stops being one undifferentiated voice.

Intervool persona detail — Engineering Leaders broken down by seniority, buying role, function, and experience, with pain points, opportunities, and objections
Inside each persona

Open any persona to see what they need and how they think.

Pain points, opportunities, objections, and the signals behind them — all from real interviews. A persona is who you talk to (engineering leaders at small companies); a segment is the account they sit in (small companies).

  • Know exactly what each type of customer needs
  • Build from real needs, not just the loudest request
  • See how needs shift from one type of account to the next

See the pain points behind each persona

Every persona rolls up the pain points, opportunities, and objections from the people who match it — so you know what hurts, for whom.

Decide what to build, and who it's for

Read every theme and feature idea through the lens of the persona or segment it came from, so the roadmap maps to real needs — not the loudest request.

Intervool vs Dovetail

Dovetail stores your research.
Intervool puts it to work.

Dovetail is a great place to store and tag what you learn. But a tidy archive of findings isn’t a decision. Intervool carries every interview through to personas, segments, and a roadmap you can defend.

Workflow
Intervool — Calls → findings → features → roadmap
Dovetail Findings shared to Slack or exported
Research outputsA series is a lens every interview gets read through. You pick which outputs to pull — pain points, feature requests, workflows, opportunities — and write a short prompt in plain English to tailor each to your product. e.g. an “Onboarding friction” series that flags everything users struggle with on day one.
Intervool — Choose and define what you need: pain points, feature requests, opportunities and more, and tailor with a prompt
Dovetail Basic findings
Interview prep
Intervool — Add questions on each interview or use a template
Dovetail Not included
PersonasA persona is a profile of a kind of user — their goals, pain points, and context — built from your calls and the details you add. It keeps you designing for real people instead of guesses. e.g. “Hands-on founder” or “Ops-minded admin.”
Intervool — Dynamic personas that auto-update by the pain points and opportunities you learn
Dovetail Not a core workflow
SegmentsA segment is a group of customers who share a meaningful trait — industry, company size, behavior, or need. Segments show how each group's needs differ, so you can prioritize the right things for each. e.g. “Seed-stage SaaS” or “Enterprise procurement.”
Intervool — Dynamic segments that group customers by shared traits as you learn
Dovetail Not a core workflow

Intervool — Track what you want to build and prioritize, each linked back to the findings behind it

Intervool — Themes turn into prioritized ideas that turn into a roadmap

FAQ

Common questions.

Who is Intervool for?

Founders, product managers, and UX researchers and designers running customer research — especially at the seed-to-Series-A stage where every interview needs to turn into product and design decisions, not sit in a folder.

How is this different from Condens, Dovetail, or Marvin?

Those are research repositories — they help you store and tag findings. Intervool carries the loop further: insights become dynamic personas and segments, and themes become a prioritized roadmap you can defend — every priority one click from the customer quote behind it. One workspace, all the way through.

How does Intervool capture and analyze interviews?

Add an interview — title, date, series, and who you spoke to — and Intervool stores the video, audio, and an auto-generated transcript. From there it pulls out the takeaways, pain points, opportunities, quotes, feature requests, and workflows, plus video clips of the moments behind them, each linked back to where it was said. Then you put that data to work: chat with it in Copilot, cluster insights into themes on a board, map them on an impact-vs-effort matrix, and turn them into a prioritized roadmap. You choose which outputs each interview generates.

Can I ask questions about my research?

Yes — Copilot works across everything you've captured, like a research analyst on call. Ask for the top pain points across your interviews, how your themes relate, a summary of any persona or segment, or where the gaps in your research are. It can pull the quotes behind a finding, surface which customers to go after, and draft reports, summaries, or follow-up questions from what you know — every answer grounded in your own data, with sources you can click through to.

Can I bring in interviews I've already done?

Yes. Upload existing recordings, audio files, or written notes and Intervool transcribes them and pulls insights just like a new call — so your past research isn't stranded in another tool.

Do I need a dedicated researcher to use it?

No. Intervool is built so founders and PMs can run and synthesize research themselves — AI proposes the insights, themes, and groupings, and you refine them. A dedicated researcher makes it more powerful, but isn't required.

Is my research data secure?

Yes. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, isolated to your workspace, and access is role-based so you control who on your team can see what.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. 30 days, no credit card required, cancel anytime.
